1. 自阻燃性能

海藻纖維是一種自阻燃纖維，燃燒過程中纖維的炭化程度高，離開火焰即熄滅。從海藻酸鈉的熱分解過程可以看出，海藻酸鈉熱分解過程中能釋放出大量的水和CO2，水分子的汽化吸收大量的熱量，降低纖維表面的溫度。另外，生成的水蒸汽和CO2屬惰性氣體，將海藻纖維分解出的可燃性氣體濃度稀釋，達到阻燃的效果。

2.高透氧性

吸濕后形成親水性凝膠，與親水基團結合的“自由水”成為氧氣傳遞的通道，氧氣經吸附一擴散一解吸過程，從外界環境進人傷口組織內；而纖維的高G段是纖維的大分子骨架連接點，水凝膠的硬性部分(氧氣可通過的微孔)避免了傷El的缺氧狀況，促使傷El愈合。

4. 負離子
