草珊瑚為金粟科多年生常綠亞灌木，具有多年的種植歷史，我國南方很多省份以及東南亞一些國家都盛產草珊瑚。草珊瑚具有清熱解毒、祛風活血、消腫止痛、抗菌消炎功效并被廣泛應用于食品、醫藥、個人衛生用品中。為保證草珊瑚的多種特性在紡織品中的有效應用，紡織品中的混紡比例草珊瑚不能低于30%的含量。
